Week 13 “Strengthen Your Sense of Humor.”
Don’t underestimate the power of LAUGHTER.
I’ve read and heard many times the contrast between how many times each day a FIVE-YEAR-OLD laughs and how many times a day a FORTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD laughs…big difference. Combine that with the fact that we as adults have many times more STRESS in our daily lives than we did as a child and we can easily see why we may not be laughing as much, but just as obvious are all the reasons why we SHOULD.
An ancient script reminds us “A merry heart does good like a medicine.”
Or laughter is the best medicine. Cultivate your SENSE of humor.
“A sense of humor can smooth the bumps on the road of success. If you are one of those people who is blessed with a cheerful disposition, count yourself fortunate.
If not, you can develop one.”
—Napoleon Hill, A Year of Growing Rich
So the next question is “HOW?”
And then go to work on the answer that’s right for YOU.
Positive humor adds laughter to your life and laughter adds to your attitude and your ability to face the challenges waiting for us all.
Hill reminds us, “Remember too, that no problem is unique or new. You can always seek advice or help form others who have been there. And you are never alone. A greater power is with you always. Make it a policy to meet your problems head-on, in a spirit of audacity, courage and decisiveness.”
Make a concerted effort to protect your attitude from the daily assault of negative thoughts and talk and individuals that confront us all.
And it will be markedly easier to keep a smile through it all with a sense of HUMOR.
Laugh every day.
Being around kids can surely help you find your laugh…Find a way.
Because it will add greatly to your efforts as you…
